Medical Appointments

We ask that you please make every effort to avoid booking appointments during school time and where this is unavoidable, we will expect your child to attend school before and after the appointment, where reasonable.

You will need to provide the appointment card or letter for the absence to be authorised and it would be helpful if you could provide this the day before the appointment so that we can make a note on the register so staff are aware your child will be absent from lessons.

If your child is going to be late for school due to an appointment and you've not let us know in advance, please call absence line by 9am and send the appointment card with your child when they sign in.

Only a half day absence will be authorised for any one appointment.

From Monday 30 October, for safeguarding reasons,  students will only be allowed to sign out for appointments if you have provided the appointment card or letter. They will need to sign out with Mrs Stevens in the Attendance Office when leaving and sign in on their return to school.
