Big Bang Event

A group of Year 9 pupils visited Westminster College for the Big Bang Event. Pupils were selected to attend the event based on their aspirational attitude towards science.

The pupils had the opportunity to meet with a number of London universities promoting their science courses. This was a good opportunity for the pupils to ask questions and see what science courses and careers are available to them when they leave school. The pupils also got the opportunity to take part in a workshop run by Eagle Heights in which they were shown a number of different birds of prey and taught about their adaptations in the wild. The birds were flown around the theatre, landing amongst some of the pupils at times for a closer picture. The day was inspiring for the pupils and gave them lots of knowledge about science in the future.
